Gio learned the craft of a true hairdresser at the hands of his father, the owner of a salon in Italy. After building a solid foundation Gio moved to Paris, where he began teaching techniques and tips at Jean Louis David’s school. Being in the fashion capital of the world brought him new inspiration and Gio discovered his passion for the industry.
He met Julian and Yannick d’Ys, beginning an apprenticeship that would become a lifelong friendship. Once he’d further enhanced his skill under these legends Gio moved to New York in 1995, and has since established himself as one of the most sought after hairstylists amongst celebrities and photographers around the world.
